Quick Supply Co. has the capability to accurately capture the drilling and blasting performance of an underground heading. Utilizing boretrak survey data and laser-scanning technology, Quick Supply Co. technical engineers can create a 3D model of each drilled heading. These models are then tied together with the post-blast data to capture an accurate 3D representation of the heading, both pre- and post-blast. The generated model then allows evaluation and analysis of the blasting performance. These evaluations and analysis are centered around key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety, drilling accuracy, pull measurements, and shot volume. The KPIs can be measured while at the face to provide immediate feedback to drillers, blasters, and managers. Immediate feedback can be used to drive improvement and efficiency in drilling, loading, and pattern design. Overall, the underground heading advancement survey has the goal to calculate and quantify the importance of proper drilling and blasting underground.
