Slit Tape Woven Geotextile

Slit tape woven fabrics are an economical woven geotextiles crafted from polypropylene slit film yarns. These geotextiles boast reasonable strength with minimal stretch. They provide some minimal strength to improve the durability of parking lots and roads.

The key components to these fabrics are separation and some minor level of stabilization. The water flow rate is fairly low so you don’t want to utilize this fabric if you have significant sub-surface water.

Woven geotextiles help prevent rutting and stop the aggregate from mixing with the underlying soft soils. Once soils blend with an aggregate, the aggregate quickly loses its strength. This can happen when loads are placed on the road and pumping takes place. Without the separation value of this fabric, additional aggregate will need to be added to maintain road strength.

Features:

  • High tensile strength: Provides robust support with minimal elongation.
  • Polypropylene slit film yarns: Durable material for long-lasting performance.
  • Basket weave design: Ensures effective separation and stabilization.

Benefits:

  • Reduces rutting: Minimizes surface deformation, keeping areas smooth and safe.
  • Enhances performance: Improves the durability and functionality of paved and unpaved surfaces.
  • Lowers maintenance costs: Reduces the need for frequent repairs and upkeep.
  • Cost-effective: Provides a budget-friendly solution for ground stabilization.
  • Saves time and money: Streamlines construction processes and reduces material costs.

Applications

  • Driveways
  • Parking lots
  • Temporary roads
