Wire gabions are modular, wire mesh containers filled with rock or stone, used for erosion control, slope stabilization, and architectural applications. They are available in welded or double-twisted mesh configurations and can be galvanized, PVC-coated, or other protective layers depending on the project needs.

  • Available in welded wire or double-twisted hexagonal mesh
  • Common wire gauges: 9 ga (welded), 10.5–13.5 ga (twisted)
  • Coatings: Galvanized, PVC, Galfan, or other protective layers (limited availability)
  • Modular basket sizes (e.g., 6’x3’x3′, 9’x3’x3′, 12’x3’x3′)
  • Internal diaphragms for structural integrity and rock confinement
  • Spiral binders or tie wire for field assembly
  • Flexible and permeable structure conforms to ground movement
  • Meets ASTM A975 and A641 standards for gabion construction
  • Provides long-term erosion protection and slope stability
  • Allows natural drainage and reduces hydrostatic pressure
  • Environmentally friendly—supports vegetation growth over time
