Features & Benefits

FabGuard® is a patented, EPA-registered antimicrobial filter media designed to reduce coliform bacteria—including E. coli and enterococci—in stormwater, industrial wastewater, and municipal wastewater. It is used in a variety of Fabco filtration systems including StormBasin®, Helix™, and StormSafe® vaults.

  • EPA-registered antimicrobial treatment (Aegis® Antimicrobial Shield)
  • Open-cell reticulated foam with up to 98% void volume
  • Chemically bonded, positively charged polymer coating
  • Available in blocks, disks, and custom cartridge formats
  • Compatible with Fabco’s cartridge-based systems
  • High permeability and sustained flow rates
  • Non-biodegradable, chemical- and tear-resistant foam
  • Tested under lab and field conditions for bacteria reduction
  • Effectively reduces coliform bacteria in stormwater and wastewater
  • Maintains high flow rates while delivering advanced treatment
  • Lightweight and easy to install or retrofit
  • Long-lasting antimicrobial performance—coating is virtually irremovable
  • Enhances performance of existing Fabco filtration systems
  • Supports compliance with stormwater quality regulations
