Borehole Deviation Surveys – Surface & Underground

Borehole deviation from the intended design can have negative results ranging from dangerous fly-rock occurrences, deficiencies in fragmentation, poor grade control and negative environmental influences as it relates to air overpressure and seismic recordings. Borehole deviation is influenced by many factors including geology, drill equipment selection and drilling practices. Quick Supply Co. utilizes state-of-the-art technologies from Carlson and O-PITBLAST to quickly measure deviations in a 3D environment and allows for risk and efficiency evaluations in the blast. Survey completion is available for both surface and underground operations. Please contact your local Quick Supply Co. representative for more information.

  • Borehole deviation models can be completed with either Carlson or O-PIT equipment.
  • Results and reports will then be generated on their software.
  • The information can also imported into 3D blast-design-modeling to add more detail to those models of true burdens on a blast.
