Financial Accounting Analyst

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Financial Accounting, the Financial Accounting Analyst will support a wide range of accounting and financial operations. This role is instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and supporting both inte

al and exte

al reporting requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess broad experience in financial accounting, sales and property tax compliance, fixed asset and inventory accounting, and ERP system usage. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role acts as a primary resource in the Accounts Payable department and provides cross-functional support across several areas, including lease accounting, insurance, business licensing, AR, and audit support.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Enter and analyze accounts payable invoices.
• Review vendor statements for accuracy.
• Identify and implement improvements for accounts payable processes.
• Coordinate various accounting and finance departments projects.
• Support ongoing and ad hoc audits.
• Prepare monthly accruals and jou

  al entries.

• Assist with maintaining up-to-date insurance records and serve as backup for renewals.
• Act as a liaison for exte

  al accountants and assist with income tax filings and year end audit preparation.

• Prepare assigned aspects of Monthly Financials
• Provide backup support to various accounting departments and functions including inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, monthly close process, and ERP system support.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable and provide support where needed for Accounts Receivable and explosives invoicing
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active or Inactive CPA Preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working within ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
