JOB SUMMARY:

SHIFT HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for selling new and used equipment, rental fleet equipment, attachments and services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. This position will reach business targets through excellent in-person and telephone communication skills. This individual will work with customer and make calls to inform customers of current promotions, and they will act as a resource for equipment knowledge to the customer. The Inside Sales Representative will be a sales lead qualifier for Outside Sales Representatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
A college degree in a related field is preferred.
Must have at least two years of sales and customer service experience, preferably within the construction/heavy equipment industry.
Ability to quote and close sales is required.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Experience and knowledge of sales skills necessary to sell a premium priced product.
Maintains knowledge of Caterpillar and Ohio CAT products and options.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess the ability to assess customer needs and evaluate customer satisfaction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
