JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting team with various projects and tasks, gaining exposure to corporate accounting practices and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist the Accounting team with day-to-day tasks and special projects.

· Support in preparing and organizing financial documents.

· Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.

· Complete administrative duties as assigned.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field.

· Prefer candidates with aspirations of working in a corporate environment.

· Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and have strong organizational skills.

· Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.

· Ability to multitask and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment.

· Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft applications and internet navigation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
