The Tie-Grabber is an exclusive Norden Mfg innovation brought to the market in 2010 to give the producer more handling options. The grabber puts regular twine around the outside of the group of bales and ties it off with a knotter. This twine makes a huge difference in the stability of the stack of hay. It allows the producer to haul hay without worrying about his load, and allows him to make individual stacks of hay without losing the stack in the barn. It is excellent for groups of bales that will be moved, or loaded and unloaded several times.
The process starts with the twine already across the back of the grabber. The user picks up a fresh grab of hay, and an arm mounted on top of the grabber swings the twine around the outside of the grab. This brings it into a knotter mounted in the back of the grabber and activates the knotter, tying off the twine. The user then deposits the grab onto the wagon or trailer. On the way to the next grab of hay, the user then returns the arm to the other side of the grabber, which brings the string across the back again, and it is ready for more hay.
Tie-Grabber models have the Squeeze Arm along with the Stop Plate as standard equipment.
