Sales and Business Development Associate
FLSA Classification: Administrative
Overtime Status: Exempt
The expectation of the Sales and Business Development Associate is to function as a leader within the organization, enforce the practice of standard operating procedures, acquire new business and potential projects, and provide exceptional customer service. In addition to succeeding in these goals and expectations, the Sales and Business Development Associate will be responsible for both maintaining contact with existing customers by visiting project locations and customer office locations while also embodying the Vision and Values of Stone Industries.
Expectations/ Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with all sales/customer service including but not limited to in person, phone, and job site visits
- Work with the company resolving and mediating any escalated customer issues or concerns
- Manage and maintain customers using the CRM system SalesForce.com
- Conduct site and office visits
- Schedule customer lunches
- Prepare quotes using the CPQ quoting system in SalesForce
- Make follow-up phone calls to existing/potential customers
- Calculate and submit adjusted pricing for approval
- Work with both the sales team and inside sales representatives
- Procure new business jobs and accounts
- Arrange jobs across all support systems
- Work with the AR department to help clarify all customer billing issues
- Credits, open balances, adjustments, pricing issues
- Short pays and skipped invoicing
- Sales related administration
- Work in Salesforce to manage the customer experience
- Handle customer issues and help make Braen Stone the vendor of choice and easy to do business with
- Responsible for service and growth of all assigned accounts
- Manage the growing and shrinking accounts assigned using Salesforce
Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:
- Possess strong management/leadership skills
- Must be Company & Safety oriented
- Possess strong communications skills
- Must be a team player; ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of staff
- Strong computer skills are required
- Must be able to work in Microsoft Suite of products including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams and One Note
Required Education & Experience:
- Experience in the construction and manufacturing industries a plus.
Travel:
- Travel to all locations and job sites will be required
The company will provide cell phone and company laptop. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel to and from different work locations within work hours. Mileage Reimbursement is based on STONE INDUSTRIES, INC.’S Mileage Rate, which is taken from IRS guidelines.
