Founding & Early Growth
Bowman Construction Supply is founded in Denver, Colorado by Tom Bowman Sr. The company launched with the General Tire bridge expansion joint system, the first watertight expansion joint solution for bridges. Operating as distributors in Colorado and Wyoming, Bowman quickly established itself as a technical expert in this emerging industry, laying the foundation for its long-term success.
1971
A Family Affair
To seize growing business opportunities, Tom Bowman Sr. brought his brother Bill Bowman on board. Together, they expanded product offerings to include bridge bearing devices and extended their reach into New Mexico and Nebraska.
1975
Growth in Geosynthetics Industry
Bowman Construction Supply further diversified by introducing geotextiles through a partnership with Mirafi, Inc. As geotextiles were in their infancy, Tom and Bill continually improved their technical expertise to promote these newer, innovative solutions.
1979
Second Generation Bowman Joins Company
David Bowman, son of Tom Bowman Sr., joins the family business, continuing its legacy.
1980
Expansion of Product Offerings
Bowman Construction Supply expands its product portfolio again by adding a variety of erosion control materials to its lineup of solutions, including excelsior blanket, silt fence, Dandy products and much more.
1994
Celebrating 25 Years in Business!
Bowman Construction Supply celebrates 25 years of serving the environmental industry and providing geosynthetic, erosion control, sediment control, and stormwater management solutions to customers.
1999
Passing the Torch
Tom Bowman Sr. retires, leaving Bowman Construction Supply under the leadership of his son, David Bowman.
2000
Acquisition of Rocky Mountain Bio Products
Bowman Construction Supply acquires Rocky Mountain Bio Products, diversifying its offerings with products such as Biosol Forte, an organic fertilizer, alongside other soil amendments and conditioners.

Acquisition of Revex
Bowman Construction Supply acquires Revex in Longmont, Colorado. This new Bowman location expands its footprint, improving service to Northern Colorado and Wyoming customers.
2004
Beginning of Architectural Division
Bowman Construction Supply launches its Architectural Division, representing specialty manufacturers and offering a diverse range of exterior and interior products for commercial construction.
2005
Beginning of Waterproofing Division
Bowman Construction Supply begins offering waterproofing products to protect structures from water, vapor and air, establishing its Waterproofing Division to supply solutions for commercial waterproofing projects.

Acquired By Hale Holdings
Bowman Construction Supply is acquired by John Hale and becomes a part of the Hale Family of Companies.
2018
Colorado Springs Office Opening
Bowman Construction Supply expands its service area with the opening of our new office in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Celebrating 50 Years in Business!
Bowman Construction Supply celebrates 50 years of excellence in the environmental and construction industries, providing geosynthetic, erosion control, sediment control, waterproofing, stormwater management, bridge, and architectural solutions to customers.

Loveland Office Opening
Bowman Construction Supply relocates from our Longmont, Colorado office to a new location in Loveland, Colorado. This new office offers increased warehouse and yard space to stock more materials and enhance customer service.
